The Friends were set up in 1999. Most of the original members still belong to the Friends.

The aim of Usk Castle Friends is to raise awareness of our lovely Castle ruins.

We are not primarily a fund-raising body. However, over the years, our events have produced enough money to enable us to pay for better and more prominent signs from Usk to the Castle. We have also supplied information boards on the Castle green. The most recent acquisition has been a gazebo which allows some cover within the Castle ruins.
